Altered Notebook

by Paula
(UK)

This is a notebook I altered some time ago for a forum swap. The only stipulation was you HAD to use the initial or name of the person you were creating it for.
Mine was made using distress inks, stamps & embossing.

******************************

Paula I really appreciate you showing your altered notebook :) It's beautiful and I love your work!

It would be so special to have a handmade notebook with your own initial on it. I think the person you made this for would treasure it. It would be truly a unique and thoughtful gift.

Those are lovely stamped images you used and the distress inks always fascinate me with the different effects you can get. How did you make the background behind the girl?

Thanks again and take care!
Susan

Sequin waste! Brilliant!
by: Susan

Hi Paula

Thanks so much for letting me know how you made the background on your lovely notebook. I must try spraying/inking through sequin waste sometime :) That's a great idea!

I would really love to see the other notebooks you made. All you need do is start a new comment.

Choose the Altered Art tab on the navigation bar and scroll down to the comments section :)

If you have any problems uploading the photos, do email me and I will fix it.

Thank you again for sharing your beautiful work, Paula!

The Background
by: Paula

I made the background by sponging distress inks through sequin waste. I stamped images & embossed in gold to add opulence to the project. The girl is my favourite image, she looks very much like me as a small child. To colour I added more distress inks & I embossed the edges.

I made another 2, but only one had a name on it, the other was my personal supplies book, but didn't know how to upload the pictures.
