Card Toppers in Ink

by Meenakshi
(Delhi, India)

These are cards made from recycled paper Air-India manila folders with a soft beautiful texture when seen for real.
I have used Ball-point pens - red & black - to color the designs, taking care to keep the strokes in the same direction.
Unfortunately, the jpeg images do not do justice to the paper or the pen strokes the red pen appears scratchy ;-))
"Fluttering Dreams" was initially titled "Reaching Out" ; this card is a visual representation of this logo that I use on all my cards.

I had fun participating in this contest. Strictly speaking, these cards have been made ages ago - not for this specific competition. Just wanted to share the artwork & ideas. So, if you decide not to add my name to the draw, I understand :-)

Happy Valentine's Day, all !

Meenakshi, thank you for your beautiful card toppers and also for your honesty about when they were made. Is the "Fluttering Dreams" one the one of the little girl reaching up? I like that you recycled the Air-India manila folders, too :)

Strictly speaking, the 'rules' for the competition do not state that your uploaded artwork must be new, so I see no reason not to include you in the draw. I will put one entry in the competition for you for your beautiful art. I could have put two entries if you had used a Stampin' Up! image somewhere but I don't recognise yours as being from Stampin' Up? They look entirely original to me :)

Than you again for entering the competition!

Happy crafting!

Thank you Susan & Anonymous for your encouraging comments. This is the first time I've uploaded my artwork.

The titles to the 4 cards are as follows :
Expectant Love
Shimmering Night
Fluttering Dreams
Shy Blossoms

Collectively, I would title them "Reaching Out" - each image seems to show some kind of reaching out.

What I like about this technique is that one can make it Any time & Any where - all it requires is a paper & pen !

Warm Regards
