Hello Shweta

Thank you for sending me a picture of your spectacular paper birthday cake.

What a beautiful idea. Make a paper cake for your special occasion and use it as a table decoration.

I think I can see how you made it. You cut two of three different sized circles (so they would stack) and used them as the tops and bottoms of each layer, right? Then you cut overlapping paper strips and made cylinders for the layers themselves, is that it? It looks like they are also embossed with a Swiss dot die. I imagine you left room to make tabs for the pieces to fit together, sort of how I did making this heart shaped paper box.

I would love to know how you made the paper flowers and leaves that decorate this cake.

Did you use Word Art on computer to make the clever lettering greeting?

I have seen individual pieces of paper cake made to form a whole cake when pushed together before, but never an entire life-sized, uncut cake.

I hope anyone else reading this who has made a paper cake will send in their photos too. Tell us a little about how you made your project too so we can all enjoy playing with the idea 😁

Happy crafting
