Re: Cards for the Troops

Hello Susan

My name is Glad. I’m part of the StampHappy Group and have been sending and receiving cards from wonderful ladies for the past 10-15 years.

Unfortunately, I am moving house and downsizing so I thought it might be a good idea to recycle all of the brilliant pieces of art that I have received. I’ve taken the card fronts and re-glued them onto new card stock. Some of them are just gorgeous.

I’ve made quite a few too to add to the bundle, all of the kids ones especially.

Are you ready to receive the 2020 lot yet? If so, I’ll get to the Post Office and see what I can work out. We’re moving early June, so I’d like to have them all off my hands before packing begins.

Cheers for now,

Glad Moldre

Cards For Troops 2020 Is a Go
by: Papercraftcentral Susan

Hello Glad

What a time you have ahead of you! Moving is always such a big job. I wish you lots of smooth sailing while that is happening.

What a lovely thing to be able to send Cards for the Troops, the fruit of your crafting labour for any years.

Yes, I am accepting Cards for Troops for 2020 now. There is no rush. The Drive is open till September 30th.

It really helps me if you can package the cards with their envelopes in individual cellophane bags, then use large ziplock bags to keep them all together.

It is an extra expense for me every year to purchase extra cellophane bags and ziplock bags plus the boxes I have to pack them in according to the Military specifications, and as the numbers of cards are climbing into the thousands, you can imagine it is a significant cost now for this unfunded volunteer!

Thank you again and I shall happily let you know when your cards arrive.

Sending easy packing thoughts!

Susan

PS I took your phone number off your post as it goes out to the world once it is published, but I have kept it :)
