Spiral roses vs folded roses
by: Pat Caputo

There is actually a kit by Quilled Creations where the spirals are die cut so all you have to do is roll them up and glue them. However, your question about how to make them from strips sounds more like folded roses. You can make them from quilling strips the same way you would make ribbon roses. The wider the quilling strip (and the longer length you use) the larger your rose will be. I've made tiny folded roses for placecards using 1/8" wide strips; if you use 1/4" or 3/8" strips your roses will be larger. Ann Martin has a folded rose tutorial on her blog Allthingspaper. I have all of the supplies tools, strips, etc at Whimsiquills.com.
