Time for Paper Twists Issue 25!
It's June! I enjoy this month, not just because it is my birthday month. I love the weather this time of year in Australia. Right now I am visiting family in Far North Qld and the weather is glorious - sunny days, cool nights. It's the beginning of winter here but it is the best time of year to me.
This month, find out about:
In Paper Twists Issue 25, I get to announce the release of Stampin' Up's! new annual catalogue. That's another reason I just love the month of June.
Oh my, what a gorgeous catalogue it is this year.
If
you ordered from me in the 12 months prior to the new catalogue coming
out, I sent you a FREE copy of the new catty. I hope you received your
copy and are enjoying it as much as I am.
If you would
like to have one free next year, just order from me at SusanSalutations
anytime this year and I will add you to my freebie catalogue list for
2019.
In fact, if you become a new customer of mine, I will send
you a free copy of the new catalogue for THIS year! That means you get a
free $7 catalogue and free postage to get the catalogue to you. That's
my thank you to you for choosing me as your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
Meanwhile,
what is your favourite item from the new catalogue? I am loving
Dandelion Wishes (on page 118 of the catalogue) today. It's so easy to
use and so pretty. Add a watercoloured background to it with inks and
your Aqua Painter and heat emboss over the top with the stamp for a
beautiful effect.
Or stamp on Designer Series paper for a textured look, like they show in the catalogue:
I think you could create absolutely beautiful cards and tags with this stamp set.
Do you celebrate with Christmas parties and food in July? I know many people in Australia do, because Christmas is so hot in December here. It is nice to celebrate with baked foods and goodies in a cooler month. It's a great excuse for a lovely meal, anyway!
This
month I start getting ready to make Christmas cards! As I make at least
70 personal cards each year, I like to start making them now. Do you do
that? It seems to take some of the stress out of making cards for Christmas to start early.
Just look at one of the beautiful Designer Series Paper on offer this year - Under the Mistletoe:
I love those colours.
I
have some ideas to inspire you on the Christmas card idea page. I'll
add some more cards when I make some with this year's supplies, so keep
watching that page for updates.
When I
make my own Christmas cards, I also make a few extra for the Cards for
Troops drive. This year's Christmas card drive is open till the end of
October.
Thank you to everyone who has sent me cards for the
Drive already this year. You are helping us make a big box of cards for
the troops!
(By the way, Cards for Troops can be about any occasion, not just for Christmas).
In Paper Twists Issue 25, I get to announce the winner of the Mother's Day Card competition!
The
competition that was open only to Paper Twists subscribers ended on May
31st. Congratulations to Colleen Green for her lovely winning entry!
Here it is:
Colleen, I am sending you out a little
prize early next week. I hope you like it and we get to see more of your
beautiful creations in time.
Tink, a reader of PaperCraftCentral.com, contacted me about finding people who wanted to swap ATCs.
I wondered if anyone reading this would be interested in either forming a swap of ATCs based on Stampin' Up! products, or if any readers knew of active groups of crafters who swap ATCs?
If you know of any existing ATC swaps or would like to organise one for PaperCraftCentral readers, please do contact me.
Just let me know what country the swap is based in and I will list existing ones if you send me a link to the details, or send me your name and email address if you would like to be included in a PaperCraftCentral ATC swap.
Sign ups for a PaperCraftCentral swap will end on July 21st, 2018.
Here's an ATC I made for a swap some time ago with the Sweet Notes stamp set, now retired:
I can just imagine using the beautiful Dandelion Wishes and the new In Colours to make an ATC ....
Did you
notice the most popular pages being searched on PaperCraftCentral up to the date I wrote Paper Twists Issue 25?
Here they are in case you would like to go see them too:
And that's it for Paper Twists Issue 25. May you have a lovely crafty time this month.
